I'm a Therapist, and My Patient is Going to be the Next School Shooter: 6 Patient Files That Will Keep You Up At Night 0.

He carried a lot of rage about his dad abandoning his family, but people can work through that stuff. In every single case he also documents his own behaviors, and they, without exception, prove to be unethical, unprofessional and possible examples of malpractice.Kinda like, when you’re nauseous and scared, but you’re still trying to enjoy it while wondering if it’s almost over. Following your clients to spy on them, imprisoning one and forcing them into treatment, hiring another client as an assistant— none of these are recommended behaviors for a professional therapist. Sure, there are barriers between alters, but that doesn't mean they blackout and forget a murderous rampage.

Harper would have had his license revoked ages ago and the plotlines tended more toward ‘horror’ rather than ‘psychology. I am left shaking my head and hoping those with more insight can share the redeeming qualities I so obviously missed.Perhaps it all circles back to formatting issues with the Kindle, but this book is simply a series of six first person narratives, with a paragraph or two added to the end of each as semi-footnotes. It turns out that his name is Richard and he has assumed the identity of someone else to cover up his grief from killing him own son but he has tons of information of Zhang that could bring down her pedophile ring once and for all and Tony gives Elliot the opportunity he needs to get that information but it is clear that Elliot can’t trust anyone inside the prison as the prison is a cover for the ring itself and a lot of inmate are involved with it. So, if you’re selling a book based off of it’s correlation to real life…it should be a little more believable, eh? Each “patient file” ended up having a link of sorts as a whole, but each one was about a different patient over the course of a lengthier bit of time. I think these started as a reddit post, if i remember right, and it developed into a trilogy of a psychologist who cannot stop mendeling into the lives of his patients.

I’m a Patient, and My Patient is in Love With a Pedophile is more contrived and even more implausible than the first one, starting with the idea that a therapist would be allowed to continue his practice and even distribute meds in prison. It is soon revealed that this is just another elaborate prank which has set Elliot’s nerves completely on edge. Harper has absolutely no hardware left holding his own mental health together so therefore he should not be trusted. I have rated the book with 3 stars because of the fact that I still wanted to know what was happening.

It seems like Elliot’s life is just getting harder and harder but we get another flashback to the back on the beach where he tells Elliot and Noah and that the “animals” on the “farm” are attacking, raping and killing young boys and this is mystery I think we are going to follow throughout the novel. The stories blend into each other and so do the characters, it makes for interesting reading and a mind-boggling experience. Sure, these aren’t the best stories ever, and some of them are very predictible, but it is a good way of passing the time. Spoiler Alert, all the stuff he does are the wrong kind of things a therapist shouldn’t be doing and we see this kind of behavior through the three books.I was really excited to read this series because there are a bunch of books that have really interesting, catchy titles, but unfortunately I likely will not read more. The fourth patient file belongs to Rocky, a firefighter accused of raping an old woman and even though he was proven innocent he still suffered in the court of public opinion and was left with lasting scars because of it.
